Working in the criminal justice field, we've seen computer forensics degrees and training experience some of the largest growth and interest of any of the CJ disciplines; apart from perhaps homeland security and counter terrorism -- but even there, computer forensics is often involved. Bottom line is that it's hard to imagine a world in the future where there won't be exceptional demand for highly technical folks in law enforcement, and computer forensics will most certainly play a large role going forward. With that in mind, I think that folks who are interested in a law enforcement career, who also have a real interest in technology should definitely take a hard look at pursing a degree in computer forensics.
